Working dogs

'Without the shepherd’s dog, the whole of the open mountainous land in Scotland would not be worth sixpence. It would require more hands to manage a stock of sheep, gather them from the hills, force them into houses and folds, and drive them to markets, than the profits of the whole stock were capable of maintaining.’

The Border Collie is an amazing working breed created over thousands of years which melds an innate hunting ability with a deep respect for the human relational bond. I began working with border collies just over five years and am continually humbled by how intelligent and dedicated they are. My goal is to turn out exceptional working dogs to make the shepherds life easier.
